My artwork reimagines the everyday by taking familiar forms I then abstract or stylize in such a way as to make them more interesting by making them less familiar. I’m inspired by animals, plants, machines, and creatures or structures from the realms of fantasy and science fiction; I will add, subtract, or alter characteristics from any combination of these to make something new and exciting. Creating detailed, dynamic, and organic ceramic pieces is something I enjoy, so I strive to make them as whimsical and powerful as possible in the hopes of garnering one’s attention long enough for them to enjoy it as well.
